FAQ
Questions, answered.
When do you open?
January 2027. The exact date will be announced once the space is ready, and interest list members hear first.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes! Babies are always welcome. A childcare assistant is also on hand during select fitness classes; the schedule notes which ones.
Tell me about the kids' room.
The kids' room is directly connected to the main room and has an extra-large window, so you can see in and out at all times. During Strong From the Start and select fitness classes, a staff member is there to help with little ones while you train. It isn't drop-off childcare: you stay on site and responsible for your child, and you handle diapering and bathroom trips. Step out anytime and come right back. It's included with Strong From the Start and offered as an add-on during select fitness classes based on demand.
Do I need to be fit to start?
No. Every class is adapted to you, which is the benefit of small group training. Our classes work for an absolute beginner and for a lifelong athlete.
How soon after birth can I join Strong From the Start?
Once you're cleared by your provider. If you're months or years out, you're still in the right place.
What's the difference between Strong From the Start and Mom & Baby?
Strong From the Start is a 6-week strength and conditioning program built for pregnant and postpartum bodies: real training, with a teaching concept in every class so you learn what your body is doing and why. Mom & Baby is an ongoing class where your baby is part of the workout. Many moms do both.
Do I stay for kids fitness and playgroups?
Yes. Playgroups are parent-and-child classes, and that's the point: open play, music, movement, and crafts together, led by an instructor, build connection and skills in a way neither of you gets from watching. For kids fitness, a parent or caregiver stays on site - watch from within the main room or relax in the lounge.
Do I need to be signed up for anything else to join the prenatal classes, new moms' group, or workshops?
No. They're open to everyone.
Does lactation support take insurance?
Yes, 1:1 consults accept insurance, and the weekly support group is open to anyone doing consults with Lauren. Plans accepted will be listed once bookings open.
Do you offer drop-ins?
Drop-in or one-time: Mom & Baby, yoga, weekend playgroups, CPR, and workshops. The lactation support group is drop-in for Lauren's consult clients.
Seasons and cohorts: playgroups, Strong From the Start, run club, and kids fitness, so groups stay consistent.
Monthly plan: adult fitness, with class credits you book however you like.
What if I miss a class?
Adult fitness credits can be used for any class in your 4-week cycle. Playgroup and kids fitness families can make up a class in another same-age group within the season if space is available.
How do cancellations work?
Adult fitness: cancel anytime with 30 days' notice, or pause for up to two months a year. Seasons and cohorts: full refund before groups are assigned. Once a season starts, you can transfer your spot to another family. Full terms will be posted with registration.
What should I bring?
Water, sneakers, and comfortable clothes. For classes with your baby or toddler, whatever you need for them and whatever helps get you out the door.
Is there parking?
Yes, 18 dedicated spaces.
